Juno came to us with a litter of puppies. She is friendly and greets every person with a wagging tail and excitement. Juno does not like other dogs so will need to be the only dog in the home. She will need secure fenced yard and is not suitable for apartment living. Any children in the home will need to be over 13 years. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.
Levi can be a bit shy when he first meets someone new, but he has been warming up to staff and volunteers. He is only a year old, so he hasn’t had much time to experience a lot. He came in as a stray so we don’t know his history, but he really seems to like chin scratches and head rubs! (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
5 year old Lisa is a friendly cat that likes to pretend she is a Roomba! She came to us as a stray so we don’t know her history, but she has been very friendly here and enjoys the company of staff and volunteers. Daily brushing will keep this girls coat in tip top shape! Mandy is an 8 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix who will melt you heart. She is an amazing athlete and would love an active family that goes for hikes, runs and long walks. Mandy would love a home where she won’t have to compete with other dogs for attention. This girl wants to be your one and only. Mandy is strong and energetic so children in the home should be over 9 years old. Catahoulas are herding dogs and they love to do their job. For this reason we are requiring that her forever home be feline free. Mandy has had a history of urinary tract infections and will need monitoring for that. A healthy diet and supplements for good urinary tract health will help to improve her overall well being. Please read about the Catahoula Leopard Dog prior to meeting Mandy. Peeta is a friendly cat but can be a bit shy. We are looking for an adopter that understands it may take some time for him to adjust to his new forever home. He has done well living with other cats here and has lived with older kids previously as well. We recommend a home where he can have space to relax. Young kids make him nervous (poor guy!), so we want to make sure he goes to a home without children under the age of 10. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
