EVERETT — Adopt A Stream Foundation will kick off its annual Holiday Trees for Salmon event on Saturday, selling a selection of potted pines and cedars to fundraise for the nonprofit’s environmental education and stream restoration programs.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, continuing every weekend through Dec. 23, community members can stop by the Northwest Stream Center in McCollum Park, 600 – 128th Street SE, Everett, and buy live trees, 2- to 6-foot high, priced at $20, $40, $60 and $100.
“After the holidays, plant your tree and you will help out the planet for hundreds of years,” said Adopt A Stream Foundation Director Tom Murdoch in a press release. “Or bring your tree back to the Northwest Stream Center and Adopt A Stream Foundation’s Stream Team will plant your tree next to a salmon stream in the spring where it will help out salmon for hundreds of years!”
As a holiday bonus, you will receive a 2026 membership to the foundation with the purchase of your holiday tree, granting you free access to the center’s nature walk trail and discounts to events and purchases at the gift store.
On Saturday, the center will also host a makers’ bazaar, featuring crafts from local artisans.
