Sore losers behind complaints aimed at Mill Creek council

Do not be misled by Dullain Ehrlich’s letter to the editor of June 17 regarding the character of some former Mill Creek council members and Chuck Wright’s Aug. 22 letter calling for four veteran members of the council to resign. Why not all seven, including Ken Steckler, Jared Mead and former mayor Mike Todd as the all sit behind the dais.

This is all part of the ongoing efforts of Mary Kay Voss, Kathy Nielsen, Bart Masterson and Donna Michelson and their associates to discredit the current council since the voters turned them out of office a few years ago.

Wright could not get elected to the council and none of them apparently cannot get over the fact that the voters did not want them in public office.

Almost from the get-go they have missed no opportunity to harass, malign, criticize and otherwise harangue this new council unfairly using ambush tactics and derogatory comments. They have also interfered in city/employee relations.

They threaten legal action and recall of the council based on whimsical ideas and their interpretation of the law without realizing the very high hurdles that must be achieved, which included getting over 1,400 signatures for each recall petition and demonstrating malfeasance before a judge. Not liking the current council is not malfeasance and their interference with relations with city employees is also not malfeasance on the part of the city council.

Actions by new Mill Creek council have benefited the city to the tune of about $10 million dollars through grants and contract savings. Things they were unable to do while in office under former mayor and now council member Mike Todd.

The people and voters of Mill Creek are some of the most knowledgeable and intelligent voters in the area. The actions of these former council members and their associates have shown nothing but contempt for the voters of Mill Creek.

They have brought the divisiveness of Washington D.C. to Mill Creek.
