Democrats need proxies for primary by Friday

Democrats who want to participate in the March 26 precinct caucuses but can’t get to their caucus sites because of religion, military service, work schedule, disability or illness still can designate their choices for president.
They do it by sending a “Surrogate Affidavit Form” with the Washington State Democratic Party by Friday (March 18).
Through 5 p.m. Friday they can send it by mail, fax or as a scanned PDF to the State Democratic Party headquarters, Jason Ravens, chair, Surrogate Affidavit Form Washington State Democratic Party PO Box 4027 Seattle, WA 98194, Fax: (206) 583-0301.
After that, they have to give the completed form to someone who will attend their caucus.
Voters can express their preferences for president on the surrogate affidavit form, which they can find by clicking here.
A Democrat can declare as a candidate to represent the precinct at a legislative district caucus or county convention using another form, available at 41dems.org/2016/caucus/candidacy.pdf
They can’t vote for the people to represent them at those events without attending a caucus.

Washington Democrats choose their delegates to the national presidential nominating convention through the precinct caucuses followed by legislative district caucuses, county conventions and the congressional district and state convention.
Republicans use the May presidential primary.
