EVERETT — The Snohomish County medical examiner identified two men Tuesday, one who was involved in a motorcycle collision and another who went missing on a kayaking trip.

Richard L. Ruzek, 48, died Saturday while riding his motorcycle near Snohomish. The Longview man was southbound on Highway 9. Police said Ruzek didn’t see that traffic had stopped and swerved into the northbound lane. He collided with a car.

Matthew Davis, 37, was reported missing June 9. The Monroe man had been kayaking along the Skykomish River. His body was found on an island where he was camping near Sultan on June 14.

Davis died from natural causes, according to the medical examiner.
