Activism groups to host forest defense meeting in Bothell

BOTHELL — The League of Women Voters of Snohomish County and the Pacific Northwest Forest Climate Alliance are cohosting a meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Third Place Commons, 17171 Bothell Way NE, in Bothell, to discuss efforts to protect public lands in Washington.

The meeting will cover how the federal administration is attempting to open currently protected forests in Washington for logging, as well as the history of past activism in protecting state lands, according to a press release from the groups.
