EVERETT — A Marysville man is dead and a woman, 45, and child, 3, were injured in a single vehicle crash that started a small brush fire Tuesday evening in Everett.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Everett police and fire responded to a report of a single vehicle crash at the 41st Street off ramp near I-5.

The vehicle allegedly flipped multiple times until landing on a rail along the road, igniting a 100-foot by 70-foot brush fire in the 3800 block of S 3rd Avenue, according to a Everett Fire Department Facebook post. The fire was extinguished.

First responders pronounced Theodore Huger, 45, Marysville, deceased at the scene. A woman and a child were transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with undisclosed injuries.

Speed was a factor in the crash, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The crash closed the 41st Street on ramp and S 3rd Avenue between 41st and Smith Avenue.
