Sorticulture: Everett’s Garden Arts Festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 7, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 8 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 9 at Legion Memorial Park, 145 Alverson Blvd., Everett. The festival includes garden art and nurseries, presentations by gardening experts, display gardens, food, music and a wine garden. Admission is free. See www.everettwa.org for more information.

Gardens of Merit Tour: Visit eight residential gardens on a self-guided tour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 22 to support the Evergreen Arboretum &Gardens.   • Sept. 21: Fall/winter containers with Dee Drake, arboretum volunteer. Registration necessary. Meet at the arboretum entrance.
  • Oct. 19: Putting your Garden to Bed with Wink Cushman, master gardener. Meet at the arboretum entrance.
  • Nov. 16: Holiday natural centerpieces with Marylou Hart, arboretum board member and master gardener. Registration necessary.
  • Dec. 7: Arboretum gift-making workshop for kids, noon to 2 p.m., with Hap Wertheimer, past arboretum president and art teacher. Registration necessary.
