This week’s featured new home is a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath two-story in the Copper Creek development in Marysville. Formerly a model home, it is loaded with upgrades — including extensive hand-scraped maple flooring, cherry paneled cabinets, granite slab countertops, wood window blinds, a built-in speaker system, alarm system, front and rear landscaping with sprinklers, and cedar fencing.

The main living floor is comprised of a great-room combining formal living and dining rooms, kitchen with adjacent nook, family room, powder room and two-car garage with electric opener.

Upstairs are a rec room, a bedroom suite that includes a five-piece bathroom, a laundry room and two additional bedrooms served by a full bathroom.

Great-room highlights include a nine-foot ceiling, loose loop carpeting, radius corners, and windows with wood sills.

The center-island kitchen has slab granite countertops, a ceramic tile backsplash that ascends to cabinet level, stainless steel appliances, walk-in pantry closet, and indirect drop-down and recessed lighting.

A sliding glass door opens from the nook to an oversized exposed-aggregate backyard patio and the landscaped yard. The family room’s focal point is a gas fireplace trimmed with a slate hearth and border. A formal white mantel is flanked by vertical windows.

The downstairs powder room is highlighted by a pedestal sink and hardwood flooring.

A switchback staircase with white, square-shaped spindles and railing leads upstairs to the rec room.

A French door opens to the expansive sleep area in the bedroom suite, which is large enough to accommodate a desk or reading space. The room has a high vaulted ceiling, two-tone paint, and lots of light emanating from square-shaped privacy windows.

A short hall leads to the suite’s bathroom, which includes a double vanity topped with ceramic tile, complementary tile flooring, mosaic tile backsplash, oval soaker tub with floral patterned wallcovering, and a walk-in shower with faux white tile fiberglass shell.

The remaining two bedrooms face the cul-de-sac. One includes a window bench seat, and both have walk-in wardrobe closets, phone/cable jacks and Alabaster light fixtures.

The second full bathroom has a double vanity topped with ceramic tile, and a shower/tub combination with fiberglass shell.
