Upstart Warriors knock off Kamiak to go 4-0

MUKILTEO – The Edmonds-Woodway Warriors used stingy defense and made clutch free throws down the stretch to stay undefeated with a key 55-43 Western Conference South Division victory over Kamiak Tuesday Night at Kamiak High School.

E-W (3-0 division, 4-0 overall) got 14 points from Max Ortiz, who made six of seven free throws in the fourth quarter.

“Max played well tonight,” E-W assistant coach Cory West said.

Defensively, Eric Greenwood was solid in the middle for the Warriors, recording four blocks.

“Eric played a key role in the victory,” West said.

Rahiti Marere led all scorers with 17 points for Kamiak.
