Yesterday, the GAO released a redacted copy of its 67-page ruling, sustaining Boeing’s protest of an Air Force tanker contract to Northrop Grumman and EADS. In today’s Herald, we told you some new details, including the GAO’s implication that the Northrop proposal didn’t meet all of the Air Force’s specifications.
The Air Force says it desperately needs new tankers after years of contract mishaps and delays. Both Boeing and Northrop-EADS say they can deliver quickly. The Air Force has 60 days to respond.
