Sarvey Wildlife Center activist Kaye Baxter died July 4 at her Arlington home. Her brother, Ron Baxter, said the date was poignant.
“She went out with a bang,” Ron Baxter said. “Don’t take that wrong, we loved her so much, but that is the way my sister would want to go out.”
Kaye Baxter was surrounded by family and friends at the time of her death.
She was ill with lung cancer at her home, next door to Sarvey, where wild animals are rehabilitated to be returned to their natural habitat.
A Native American celebration of her life is being planned, Ron Baxter said.
