GOLD BAR — Two boys were injured Monday morning when they crashed a stolen car into a tree, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Lt. Rodney Rochon said.
The driver may have had life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Rochon said. Medics drove the passenger, who had serious injuries, to a nearby hospital.
The Sheriff’s Office has not released any information about the boyss.
The crash occurred at 6:15 a.m., on Reiter Road, a half-mile away from May Creek Road in Gold Bar. The driver failed to negotiate a curve, and the driver’s side of the car slammed into a tree. Firefighters cut the pair from the car using the Jaws of Life.
