As we told you about yesterday, several Washington lawmakers are worried about Boeing building a second 787 assembly line elsewhere.
Analysts and local aerospace observers have suggested several states that potentially could compete for Boeing’s favor: South Carolina, Alabama, Texas, West Virginia and North Carolina – to name a few.
Boeing hasn’t said yet that it needs a second line or that it would move out of state. But Boeing doesn’t believe it’s tied to Washington for all 787 final assembly lines as part of its 2003 agreement with the state.
