It’s time to bust out that tight black t-shirt and get ready to bang your head: Both Marilyn Manson and Wolfmother have released free tracks.
The Manson song, “We’re from America,” is off his yet-to-be-released album, “The High End of Low.” Download it for free by clicking here.
The punky number is maybe Manson’s danciest song yet, with lyrics that are typically blunt: Manson still lives in an America obsessed with Jesus and pornography. Sigh.
Still, the song has a sharp beat and a nice, searing guitar line. Thank Twiggy Ramirez for that, in part. The guitarist, who left the group in 2002, has rejoined Manson, injecting some much needed energy.
Meanwhile, Wolfmother return after basically breaking up in 2008, when the drummer and bassist bowed out of the trio.
Frontman Andrew Stockdale pulled a Billy Corgan, though, and just replaced those suckers, irreconcilable differences be damned. The new lineup sounds ready to deliver the goods based on “Back Round,” which, if Wikipedia is to be believed, was written before the initial breakup.
