The transaction was made through a Boeing subsidiary. It makes Boeing the sole owner of Global Aeronautica LLC.
The facilitys workers will become part of Boeings North Charleston, S.C., operations. Global Aeronauticas plant is adjacent to Boeings North Charleston site, sharing its 240-acre campus.
Boeing President Jim Albaugh says the company anticipates the transaction will boost productivity for its 787 program.
In 2008, Boeing purchased a 50 percent stake in Global Aeronautica from Vought Aircraft Industries.
