EVERETT — Everett police were looking for a trio of shoplifting suspects who reportedly knocked down an elderly woman while they were fleeing Friday afternoon, sending her to the hospital.
The mayhem took place at the Safeway at 41st Street and Rucker Avenue, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
Three men ran out of the grocery store with stolen beer, he said. They knocked a woman, 77, to the ground.
Then two suspects jumped into a white four-door sedan that was waiting for them, Goetz said. One suspect ran off.
As the car sped out of the parking lot, it clipped the woman who’d been knocked down earlier, leaving her with a cut face. She was taken to a local hospital.
Police were hoping to review surveillance video to get better descriptions of the suspects.
