On behalf of the Camano Island Library Friends, I wish to extend thanks to all who supported our March “Reading Between the Vines” dinner auction.
Local businesses, individual volunteers, library patrons and auction attendees came together in their belief that Camano Island must have a library. The success of the event has ensured that the Camano Island Library Pilot Project will continue for the next two years.
We are grateful to all who gave their time, funds and talents to provide the means for the library doors to remain open. An extraordinary group of people shared their passion for volunteerism and literacy in order to benefit everyone who lives on Camano Island.
Thank you to Sno-Isle Libraries for its continuing encouragement and support. In particular, I want to thank Connie Hall, our auction chair. Through Connie’s extraordinary leadership, the Friends were able to reach their goal of providing the funds needed to fulfill our commitment to maintaining a library on Camano Island.
Thank you, again, to everyone who shared in this very special event. Readers of Camano Island thank you!
Becky Wietzke
President, Camano Island Library Friends
