Here’s a cool note about Daniel Sullivan, the Jackson High School football team’s senior-to-be placekicker: He is the nephew of 1971 Heisman trophy winner Pat Sullivan. Clearly, Daniel has a very good football pedigree.
Unlike Pat Sullivan, who was a quarterback, Daniel Sullivan is a kicker, and he’s got quite a powerful leg. Recently he was invited to a kicking camp at Boise State University and won a kicker competition. He has received recruiting interest from Boise State, the University of Nevada Las Vegas and the military service academies, Jackson football coach Joel Vincent said.
