The Boeing Co. has finalized a deal that was announced in July for up to 60 737s with Air Lease Corp.
Former ILFC chief, Steven Udvar-Hazy, announced at this summer’s Farnborough Air Show that his new venture, Air Lease Corp., would order 54 737s and take options for six more. That order has been finalized, Boeing said on Monday.
“Our management team has been working closely with Boeing for more than 30 years,” Udvar-Hazy said. “With this large and long-term commitment we’ll be able to offer our clients a most economical, fuel-efficient and versatile airplane, suitable for a variety of profitable missions.”
