MONROE — An Everett man who left a Monroe boat ramp Friday evening to meet up with a friend down river has been reported missing, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Tiboe Emanoff, 33, was supposed to meet a buddy Friday night along the Snohomish River for some camping and fishing but never showed up, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said Tuesday.
Emanoff apparently put his white, 8-foot aluminum drift boat in the Skykomish River on Friday at the Lewis Street boat launch in Monroe. He was supposed to meet his friend at the Bob Heirman Wildlife Preserve at Thomas Eddy along the Snohomish River. He apparently never arrived at the preserve.
On Monday morning a different friend — one who was not on the trip — called authorities to report Emanoff missing. A sheriff’s deputy found Emanoff’s truck and empty trailer at the Monroe boat launch later that day.
The sheriff’s office helicopter flew over the area Monday where Emanoff was supposed to have traveled but didn’t find anything, Hover said. Deputies and volunteers used a hovercraft to search parts of the river. The Monroe Fire District assisted, but didn’t find anything either. No one reported seeing Emanoff on the river Friday or during the weekend.
There was no search going on Tuesday, Hover said.
Emanoff is described as a white, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 155 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair.
