MONROE -- Tow Mater paid a special visit to Monroe today.
A life-size replica of the lovable tow truck character from the animated movies "Cars" and "Cars 2" was to be on display at the Galaxy Monroe Theatre until 7 p.m. Friday. The theater is at 1 Galaxy Way in Monroe.
Jack Walkley is displaying his version of the truck as the "Cars" sequel appears in the theater.
The drivable Tow Mater was completed by Walkley, Ray Brown and Erik Davidson last March. Since then, Walkley said the car has been used to raise money for local charities.
"(Tow Mater) has been pretty busy," Walkley said. "He's seen thousands and thousands of people."
The truck is also set to be on display Saturday from 4 to 9:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Speedway, 14405 179th Ave. SE. in Monroe.
Bring your camera to either spot if you want to get a photo with the tow truck.
