ARLINGTON — Arlington police arrested a suspected bank robber on Friday night, hours after he reportedly hit a bank in town.
They believe the Marysville man, 32, also may be responsible for another robbery in August.
Around 10 a.m. Friday, a man entered Whidbey Island Bank in the 4200 block of 172nd Street NE, city spokeswoman Kristin Banfield said. The man implied he had a weapon and demanded money.
On Aug. 19, a similar stickup was reported at U.S. Bank in the 17100 block of Smokey Point Boulevard.
The Marysville was arrested at home near Arlington without incident, Banfield said. The police appreciate the help they received from local businesses in cracking the case.
The man was expected to be booked into Snohomish County Jail for investigation of robbery and theft.
