MUKILTEO — Several students at Olympic View Middle School were disciplined Wednesday after one of them brought a toy gun to school.
A middle-school-aged girl brought a cap gun to school that looked like a real weapon, Mukilteo School District spokesman Andy Muntz said. She apparently fired the gun, as did several other students.
No injuries were reported, but some children said they were frightened by the incident, Muntz said.
The school district sent a letter home to parents so they could know what happened, he said. Children are not allowed to bring toy weapons to school, or anything that looks like a weapon.
