Is your child bouncing off the walls in anticipation of a birthday, but bouncing around in your head is, “How much will this set me back?”
If you’re looking to have a kids party at a place that offers huge inflatable bouncy houses and castles and slides, there are a number of local options.
Some of these party palaces will do everything for you, from sending out the invitations and hanging decorations to ordering the pizza. Some merely provide the facility and you do the rest.
It all depends on how much you want to spend.
You could save even more by renting an inflatable and having the party at home.
So party on:
Forest Park Swim Center
800 E. Mukilteo Blvd., Everett; 425-257-8309; http://tinyurl.com/ForestParkSwimCenter.
The center has a 50-foot inflatable obstacle course with a slide, a gaping hole called a pond and a sheer face to shimmy across. Think of the TV game show “Wipeout” without the shaving cream.
You can rent the pool deck and inflatable for an hour and a half on a Saturday or Sunday for a party of up to 50 for $169. Only the swim center facility and inflatable are covered in that cost; you provide the food, decorations and cake.
The inflatables are recommended for ages 6 and up; younger children must have an adult within arm’s reach.
Check out the inflatable in action during the center’s open swim on Friday nights.

They recently added an outdoor water splash park and a climbing wall.
Jungle Playland has a full concession area with pizzas, hamburgers, grilled chicken burgers, fries and dogs, chicken nuggets and other snacks. No outside food is allowed other than dessert and ice cream.
A basic birthday party package starts at $9.95 per child — a minimum of six children is required — and includes 75 minutes in a private party room plus play time, a beverage for each child, and plates, napkins and utensils. The birthday child can select a free gift from the toy display and 20 free tokens for the Playland’s arcade area.
