On John Koster’s website he states this pledge: “I will not vote for any new or increased taxes. I’ll continue to stand against the over-reaching, micro-managing arm of government.”
I would love to believe that, but then I received a campaign flyer quoting Mr. Koster endorsing the recent Bothell annexation proposal. According to the January 2012 Republican National Committee Resolution, government expansion mechanisms such as annexations, and the Growth Management Act, should be opposed by Republicans running for Congress. So which is it for Mr. Koster?
How can he stand against the micro-managing arm of government, and less taxes — while supporting government land-grabs such as the Bothell annexation? I think what we need in the 1st Congressional District is a real Republican who will fight against government over-reach, and not just give it lip service.
