GRANITE FALLS — Lakewood hit three Granite Falls’ batters in the seventh inning, including the final one which walked in the game-winning run as the Tigers came from behind to win the first game of a doubleheader.
The Tigers ended up sweeping the doubleheader to move into a tie with Lakewood for third place in the Cascade Conference.
Riley Larsen, Jeff Benson and James Barnard each hit two doubles and Xavier Danke threw six shutout innings after giving up two runs in the first as the Tigers won the second game. Barnard ended the day 5-for-6 with two doubles and two RBI.
