FEDERAL WAY — Family members have set up a memorial for an 8-year-old boy who was hit by a car and killed while riding his bike in Federal Way late Sunday night.
KIRO-TV reports Wayde Rodriguez-Fale was riding his bike around 10 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. He was not wearing a helmet.
The community has been fighting to get speed bumps on neighborhood streets.
Wayde’s family members say they hope people will learn from this accident and drivers will slow down in residential areas.
