DUVALL — Kyle Everett had 24 carries for 167 yards and four rushing touchdowns to lead Granite Falls to a Cascade Conference victory. The game was tied 21-21 at halftime, but the Tigers’ defense picked up in the second half, holding Cedarcrest to 120 rushing yards compared to 240 in the first. The Granite Falls offense opened up a lead in the third quarter and padded that lead with a touchdown from Drew Benson on a fumble recovery as time ran out in the third quarter.
The run dominated, with every touchdown other than the fumble recovery coming on a run. Colson Scott had three rushing touchdowns for Cedarcrest. Brandon Leitzke had nine rushes for 144 yards for the Tigers and Granite Falls averaged 10.3 yards per carry over the course of the game.
