Pot vote portends our downfall

The results of this year's election were very disappointing for many of us. I agree with the letter, "Four more years of 'freebies'" in Saturday's Herald.
I have decided that after this last political money game of an election to never vote in this state again. It seems to be true that everything in this state is won or lost in Pierce and King counties. The whole political system is based on how much money passes hands. There was a record amount of money involved in this state's initiatives. They didn't challenge Mr. Eyman and that never happens. The definition of marriage was bought and paid for. Legalizing pot, an illegal drug, in our state to capitalize on drug income has got to be one of the dumbest issues I have ever seen, and then it passes? Didn't we learn from the lottery income? So much good was to come out of it for schools. Pot should not be in the same sentence as education.
As I have said before, this is the beginning of our state and country's downfall. The election results were close to 50/50, so half the state voted no. It just doesn't do any good to vote or voice your opinion because Olympia can't hear if it doesn't smell like money!
People are so afraid to voice their true opinions for fear of offending someone or repercussions in their workplace. So, thank you to whoever stole my homemade "Disapprove 74" sign from my in front of my home. Now, I don't have to dispose of it.
