The Washington Stealth re-signed forward Athan Iannucci to a one-year deal on Monday. The deal is pending league approval and will be officially announced by the team on Tuesday.
Iannucci, who was acquired in a trade with the Edmonton Rush last season in exchange for Paul Rabil and a first-round draft pick, recorded 45 points (21 goals, 24 assists) in his first season with Washington in 2012.
Iannucci is the final big piece to re-sign with the Stealth, who are looking to improve on their league-worst 4-12 finish last season.
The Stealth open the regular season Saturday, Jan. 5 at Comcast Arena against the defending NLL Champion Rochester Knighthawks.
