EVERETT — A man who was arrested for investigation of robbing a Marysville espresso stand Wednesday is a suspect in two similar crimes.
The man, 20, was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on Wednesday. He has no fixed address, and bail was set at $2,500 during a hearing Thursday in Everett District Court. No charges have been filed.
He is accused of robbing the La Te Da Espresso stand in the 1000 block of Cedar Avenue on Wednesday.
The robber came across as polite, according to court records.
The barista said her back was turned when she heard someone say, “Excuse me.”
She said she turned around and the man said, “All the money in the register, please.”
When she asked if he was serious, the man indicated he was and then said, “Sorry,” court records said.
He ran west on Grove Street with more than $275.
The barista told police he seemed “drugged out, soft spoken.”
He was walking nearby when stopped by Tulalip police. The barista identified him as the man who robbed her, court papers said.
Marysville police then posted information notifying detectives from other agencies with open espresso stand robbery investigations. Court papers indicate the man is a suspect in separate cases being investigated by Everett police and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect told police he lives in his car and is a heroin user.
