We've all heard that you can't always believe everything you read or see in the media. Right?
Take this particular case of the so-called big bad wolf who allegedly murdered two of three little pigs.
Well, to hear his side of it, Alexander T. Wolf's side that is, you'll have to take your family to see this Dallas Children's Theatre production of "The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs" on Sunday in Everett.
The show, brought to Everett through Village Theatre's Pied Piper public series, is adapted from the very funny book by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith. This musical takes the book a step further but spins the story from the perspective of Mr. Wolf.
Wolf is on trial, accused of bringing a nasty end to two pigs. But Al, as he's known, charmingly points out that he didn't harm one hair on any pig's chinny-chin-chin.
Al knows it's a pig-friendly world out there. His defense is that although he may be a carnivore, he's the victim of a media frame-up.
What will the verdict be for Al once the witnesses have testified? Will it be guilty or not guilty?
The audience might have to help decide Al's fate.
"The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs" will be presented at 2 p.m. Sunday, Everett Civic Auditorium at Everett High School, 2415 Colby Ave., Everett.
