Lacrosse Network to stream Snohomish girls lacrosse game

The Snohomish High School lacrosse game against Overlake Friday night will be streamed live on The Lacrosse Network YouTube channel as the Washington State High Lacrosse Game of the Week.

The game starts at 8 p.m. at Glacier Peak H.S. and matches a 1-0 Snohomish team against the 1-1 Overlake Owls.

SEATTLE – Friday’s Washington state girls high school lacrosse game between The Overlake School and Snohomish High School will be streamed live on The Lacrosse Network as the Washington State High Lacrosse Game of the Week.

The girls varsity game, which gets underway at 8 p.m. PT from Glacier Peak High School in Snohomish, Wash., is the second of a 13-game prep schedule in Washington state to be streamed live on the YouTube via The Lacrosse Network.

In Friday’s matchup, Overlake coach and Washington State Lacrosse Hall of Famer Sue Haviland leads her Overlake Owls (1-1-0) as they tackle coach Katie Carroll’s Snohomish squad (1-0-0) at Glacier Peak High School.

Veteran lacrosse broadcaster Scott Ohsman will handle the play-by-play while former NCAA lacrosse standout Brittany Suszan will be on color.

The webcast is a produced by the Washington High School Boys Lacrosse Association and Washington Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association through a partnership with The Lacrosse Network to stream local high school lacrosse games live on YouTube during the 2013 Washington state high school lacrosse season.

The relationship is the first of its kind for state high school lacrosse governing bodies and an international webcast provider. The Lacrosse Network provides live webcasting of the sports two professional leagues the National Lacrosse League and Major League lacrosse along with the LXM Pro Lacrosse Tour.

A total seven boys and six girls games will be streamed to an international audience on YouTube.

Washington state high school lacrosse games on YouTube will also be available for mobile viewing live and on demand via iPad, iPhone and most Android devices.

Founded in 2005, YouTube has more than 800 million unique visitors each month, with the site receiving more than four billion views per day. Seventy percent (70%) of YouTube traffic comes from outside the United States.
