It’s some dogs’ biggest nightmare: a bath. In public, no less. But tell them about the treats and they’ll happily come along (on a leash, please) to Marysville’s Scrub-a-Mutt today.
The annual dog wash takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Strawberry Fields Athletic Park, 6100 145th St. NE, Marysville. Suggested donation for a good scrubbing is $10 for big dogs and $5 for smaller pups. Add $5 for a nail trim.
The first 250 bathers will get a goodie bag if they’re goodie.
You and your dog can watch demonstrations by animal rescue groups and K9 unit police dogs. Daring dogs can test their mettle on the agility course.
Check out the vendor booths with pet supplies and free treats, the food booths for humans and activities for kids.
This is the sixth annual Scrub-a-Mutt, with all proceeds going to animal rescue groups. For more information, go to www.scrubamutt.org, or call 360-659-9626.
