EVERETT — Max Blais ran for 110 yards on six carries and one touchdown to pace Monroe to a 25-18 victory over Monroe in a nonleague game on Friday night.
The majority of Blais’s yardage came on a 63-yard run in the second quarter that gave the Bearcats a 19-6 lead at the half.
“Max ran really well tonight,” said Monroe head coach Dick Abrams. “He’s a tough runner. When he gets a little open space, he’s really tough out in the open field.”
