Find the project ideas you need at fall home show

Dozens of companies are ready to share the newest trends and home improvement products at the annual Everett Fall Home Show set for Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Comcast Arena.

The long list of vendors includes companies that will do just about anything for the home: clean ducts, design window treatments, supply new appliances, install new floors, upgrade countertops, replace your roof and even finance your project. That’s just for starters.

The show also includes free seminars on home improvement topics — for instance, how to get a home energy audit that could pare down your power bills.

Fall is a smart time to make home improvements, said Bill Bradley, promoter of the home show.

After the rush of summer is finished, contractors want work. That leaves homeowners in the best position to get work done quickly and to negotiate the best prices, he said.

“In the spring, contractors are busy, and you’ve got longer wait times to get started,” Bradley said.

The home show runs side-by-side at the arena with a separate gift and food show. That show features lots of tasty samples and gifts so shoppers can get an early start on the holidays.

Visitors can take a bounce or two on a spring-free trampoline and watch master pumpkin sculptor Russ Leno turn squash into art.

Together, both shows offer 250 vendors to peruse.

Attend the shows

The Everett Fall Home Show and the Gift and Food Show are at Comcast Arena at Everett, Broadway and Hewitt.
