ARLINGTON — A young man is dead after a tree fell on his tent.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office was investigating after learning of the mishap Wednesday afternoon.

The man, 25, was living in a tent on his parent’s property. A relative called 911 around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday after she noticed a tree on the tent in the 12000 block of 158th Street NE near Arlington, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.

When medics arrived, they found a man dead inside the tent.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office is being asked to confirm the man’s identity and determine his cause of death.
