Now you see him: Magician Louie Foxx combines his bag of magic tricks with comedy from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Everett Public Library. He holds two Guinness Book of World Records titles for most bounces of a soap bubble on his finger. Foxx’s show is free fun for the whole family at the library, 2702 Hoyt Ave., Everett. Eye to Eye: The Mill Creek library’s Second Saturday Science program is all about the sense of sight. Kids ages 3 to 5 will try out magnifying glasses, kaleidoscopes and binoculars to learn about all about eyes and even how your eyes play tricks on you. The free program takes place at 9:30 Saturday. Let’s go: Is there a Lego kid in your family? Kids ages 5 to 12 can join the Lego Club from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Sultan Library. Kids can work on their own projects or construct things with others. The library is at 319 Main St., Suite 100. Call 360-793-1695 for more information.
Hoops: A free throw contest is from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Friday at Mattie Hall, the gymnasium for Immaculate Conception/Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, 2508 Hoyt Ave, Everett. Boys and girls ages 10 through 14 are eligible to compete. Winners of the local competition will be eligible to compete at the regional competition. Contestants will compete in age and gender groups.
Western bluebirds: Learn about the reintroduction of the western bluebird at an Audubon event at 7 p.m. on Friday. Gary Slater will speak about the effort in Everett. Get more info here.
