Matthew Wilson has a new children’s book out, and the Jackson High School graduate is scheduled for a reading of his beautifully illustrated story.
“A Word to Rhyme with Orange,” a book for children 2 to 8 years old, will be presented at 2 p.m. April 12 at the Uppercase Bookshop, 118 First St. in Snohomish. Wilson plans to sign copies for sale.
It’s an illustrated children’s story, told in rhyme, about a boy searching for a new word so he can write a poem for a girl named Orange.
Wilson, who grew up in Mill Creek, has a previous book, a graphic novel titled “Scrooge and Santa,” which was well-received among comics reviewers.
