EUGENE, Ore. — Authorities arrested a 23-year-old man accused of stabbing his older brother at a homeless camp in Lane County.
The sheriff’s office said Joshua Caleb Kirk was booked into jail on an assault charge. He’s accused of stabbing his brother, Joseph Brumback, 27, of Eugene, during a dispute at a homeless camp that’s near a recycling facility in Glenwood.
The sheriff’s office said paramedics found Brumback sitting in front of a tire store Thursday. He was taken to the hospital with a deep laceration to the right side of his back.
The Register-Guard reported that Brumback was still in the hospital Saturday and his condition was stable.
