• Austin Joyner

  RB, Marysville Pilchuck

  Joyner rushed for 258 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries to lead the Tomahawks to a 41-15 win over Kamiak in their season opener.

• Ryan Lacasse

  RB/DB, Mountlake Terrace

  Lacasse ran 11 times for 127 yards and had an interception that helped change the momentum for the Hawks, as they came from behind to defeat Mariner 14-13.

• Andrew Grimes

  RB, Lake Stevens

  A junior, Grimes had 26 rushes for 218 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings 28-21 win against Meadowdale.

• Matt Hamilton

  RB, Granite Falls

  Hamilton had 141 yards on 7 carries — scoring on over half of his carries — in the Tigers’ 36-14 victory over Bellevue Christian.

• Alex Vidican

  DL, Monroe

  Vidican had three sacks, including one on the final play of the game, to run out the clock in the Bearcats’ 30-28 win over Oak Harbor.

• Dejon Devroe

  RB, Oak Harbor

  Devroe had 181 rushing yards and two touchdowns for the Wildcats in their 30-28 season-opening loss.

• Jacob Eason

  QB, Lake Stevens

  Eason completed 25 of 40 passes for 294 yards, three touchdowns and also had an interception in the Vikings’ 28-21 win over Meadowdale.

• Aaron Okamura

  QB, Shorewood

  Okamura completed 6-of-11 passes for 121 yards and three touchdowns — and added a rushing touchdown in the Thunderbirds’ 30-14 win against Everett.
