OKANOGAN — The Okanogan County sheriff says a climber was killed in a rappelling accident on Liberty Bell Mountain in the North Cascades.
Sheriff Frank Rogers says 28-year-old Eric Anderson of Everett was climbing with his wife Saturday when one of his ropes came free while rappelling off the side of the mountain.
KPQ reports Anderson died in the fall. His body was recovered by a Snohomish County sheriff’s helicopter.
