Custom care show raises $9,300 for charity

Machinists’ Union members raised more than $9,300 for charity with their annual Bill Baker Memorial Steel &Wheel SuperShow, a custom car and motorcycle show, at Machinists Union District Lodge 751’s Everett Union Hall on Aug. 9. Proceeds went to Guide Dogs of America. Over the past five years, the union has raised nearly $1.5 million for that charity, including a record $384,000 in 2013.

Low-cost dental appointments available

The Sno-Isle Technical Dental Clinic in Everett has a limited number of appointments available for reduced cost services from Nov. 19 through March 26. For $75, clients will receive X-rays, an exam and a cleaning. Cavities diagnosed onsite may be composite restored in a follow-up appointment for an additional $75. Weight loss clinic to buy back candy

Ideal Wellness, a weight loss clinic based in Arlington and Marysville, is hosting a Halloween candy buy back Nov. 3 to 14. Children will receive a dollar for each pound of their Halloween candy they donate. The donated candy will be sent to Operation Gratitude for the Troops to enjoy. Workshop planned in Snohomish for legal, medical info for seniors
