Developer announces completion of Villas at Lakewood

WNC &Associates, a California-based investor in real estate and community development initiatives, announced the completion of The Villas at Lakewood, a 240-unit affordable housing community in Marysville. The apartments are ocated at 2606 168th Place NE, Marysville and are available to families earning between 50 and 60 percent of the area’s median income level. The property consists contains a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Amenities include a clubhouse, swimming pool and spa, two playground areas, internet cafe, fitness center and basketball court. The community also includes walking trails and garden areas. WNC provided $9.5 million in low-income housing tax credit equity to fund the project. It was co-developed by an entity of Canddle Development Inc. and American Opportunity Foundation Inc. New regional sales manager appointed at Frontier

Frontier Communications announced the appointment of Timothy Ross as regional sales manager for the company’s Western Washington markets. Ross is responsible for leading the local commercial sales team and securing and managing business sales relationships, focusing on small, mid-size and enterprise businesses. Prior to joining Frontier, he served as a director of sales for Comcast in Washington.

New ownership at Stanwood Leatherheads Pub

Stanwood’s Leatherheads Pub and Eatery has changed ownership. The historic Stanwood Volunteer Fire Department building was renovated into a pub about five years ago by firefighters Chad McCoy and Eric Schweiger. It was recently purchased by Jeff Driscoll, former pastor of Peace Lutheran in Silvana. Driscoll plans to bring a fresh menu to Leatherheads.

Children’s holiday events planned at Barnes &Noble Alderwood

Barnes &Noble Alderwood has announced children’s holiday events. Elf on the Shelf: A Holiday Tradition is 7 p.m. Friday. Award-winning author Patrick Jennings reads from “Guinea Dog” and signs books at 11 a.m. Sunday. A special Holiday Story Time is at 7 p.m. Dec. 19. It features holiday classics such as Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and The Night Before Christmas.
