Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is one of the hottest names in the NFL when it comes to head coaching candidates, but will anyone wait for him?

Jobs have started to fill up over the past couple of days, and generally, once the dominos start falling, other teams act quickly so as to not be the last team left making a hire without as many choices. And if the Seahawks do win Sunday and advance to the Super Bowl, that means any team that wants Quinn would have to wait two more weeks to make a hire.

Already the Bills have hired Rex Ryan, the Jets are going with Todd Bowles and the Raiders are close to finalizing a deal with Jack Del Rio. There have also been reports suggesting that Adam Gase is the front runner in San Francisco, so if he does indeed get that job, that would leave three openings: Chicago, Atlanta and Denver.

According to Dianna Russini of NBC4 in Washington, D.C., Quinn wants the Atlanta job, which he interviewed for, but the question is whether the Falcons, even if they like Quinn, will wait that long should Seattle win.

What does seem increasingly likely with jobs filling up is that the Seahawks won’t lose more than one assistant. Darrell Bevell and Tom Cable have also interviewed for vacancies, but with fewer jobs now available and the Seahawks still playing, it’s hard to foresee multiple coaches leaving.
