Westgate project open house
Transportation options for Edmonds’ Westgate area will be presented at an open house scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 25. The event will be in the Brackett Room of Edmonds City Hall, 121 Fifth Avenue N. A presentation will be given at 6 p.m. The open house will include two sets of displays, one for the Highway 104 study and one for a much broader Comprehensive Plan update. Transportation issues for Highway 104 include traffic levels, safety needs, right-of-way treatment and pedestrian and bicycle access.
Caregiver support group: The Alzheimer’s Association family caregiver support groups provide a place for people to learn, share and gain emotional support from others who are providing care to a person with memory loss. Meetings are scheduled the second Thursday of the month, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Snohomish Senior Center, 506 Fourth St. For information call Sheri Pemberton at 425-673-3109. Meetings also are scheduled the fourth Friday of the month from 10:30 a.m to noon at The Everett Clinic’s Smokey Point clinic, 2901 174th St. NE, Smokey Point. Black History Month event: Lynnwood’s Black History Month Celebration is set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 26 at Fire Station 15, 18800 44th Ave. West. The keynote speaker is Snohomish County Executive John Lovick. The Second Baptist Gospel Choir also will perform. More info: 425-670-5023.
