Bartell accepts donations for domestic violence program

Bartell Drugs is accepting donations for The Salvation Army’s Domestic Violence Programs through May 23. Donations of any amount can be made with a cashier at 60 participating Bartell Drugs stores in Snohomish, Pierce and King counties. In 2014, The Salvation Army’s confidential programs directly served nearly 750 adults and children as well as thousands more through the organization’s telephone crisis line.

Luncheon raises $17,000 for Clothes for Kids

Volunteers and supporters of Clothes For Kids raised more than $17,000 to benefit the school wardrobe program at the Celebrate the Children Luncheon &Auction on May 2. It was attended by more than 160 guests. About 25 percent of the non-profit’s funding comes from special events. This year, Clothes For Kids provided school wardrobes to more than 3,170 students throughout Snohomish County.

Better Business Bureau seeking nominations for awards

Better Business Bureau serving Alaska, Oregon and Western Washington is still accepting nominations for the 2015 Business of the Year Torch Awards. Nominations will be accepted until June 1.
