Scott’s Bar &Grill names enclosed room after found

Scott’s Bar &Grill in Edmonds held a ribbon ceremony on Sept. 25 to celebrate the official opening of the Komen Room, an outdoor covered, heated and enclosed room named to honor the founder of Restaurants Unlimited, Rich Komen. The location was the first restaurant Komen built, originally opening in 1971 as Klingerdagger, Bickerstaff &Pett’s Public House.

BECU plans to help high school students with financial literacy

To celebrate its 80th anniversary, BECU is closing its 40 locations until 1 p.m. on Oct. 20 as a part of its Closing for Good initiative. Instead of serving members that morning, more than 1,300 BECU employees will visit 22 high schools around the Puget Sound to lead financial reality fairs for more than 3,000 students.

Snohomish to host a regional chamber event

A Multi-Chamber Mixer is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at Bottega Fitness Park, 16720 Highway 9 SE, Snohomish. There is no cost to attend this networking event for chamber members and their guests. The hosting chamber is Snohomish Chamber of Commerce. Participating chambers include Sky Valley, Monroe, Lake Stevens, Marysville/Tulalip and Duvall. RSVP to manager@cityofsnohomish.com

Apply for energy assistance from Snohomish County PUD

Over the next year, energy assistance programs offered by Snohomish County Public Utility District will help about 17,000 senior citizens and low-income customers who are struggling with their electric bills. For an application or more information about the PUD’s assistance programs, customers should visit www.snopud.com and click on “Your Account” or call customer service at 425-783-1000.
