Edmonds City Council candidates will appear at a forum Monday at the Edmonds Senior Center.
The forum is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at the senior center, 220 Railroad Ave., Edmonds. It is sponsored by the Alliance of Citizens for Edmonds.
Eight candidates are running for five Edmonds council positions on the Nov. 4 general-election ballot. Edmonds City Council members Diane Buckshnis and Thomas Mesaros are running unopposed; Incumbent Councilwoman Lora Petso faces challenger Neil Tibbott; political newcomers Alicia Crank and Dave Teitzel meet for the position that Councilwoman Joan Bloom is giving up after one four-year term; and appointed incumbent Mike Nelson faces challenger Al Rutlege.
